10th North-East Literary Magazine Conference to be Held on December 26 in Agartala

The 10th North-East Literary Magazine Conference 2025 will take place on December 26 at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala. The organisation’s president, Samiran Roy, announced the event during a press conference at the Agartala Press Club on Friday evening.

Bringing Literary Voices Together

Roy said the conference aims to unite editors, writers, publishers, and cultural activists who work with literary magazines across the Northeast. Moreover, the event seeks to strengthen literary exchanges, promote regional language publications, and encourage new writers entering the field. Consequently, the conference is expected to create a stronger platform for creative collaboration.

Participation from Across the Northeast

Delegates from several northeastern states, including Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Sikkim, plan to attend. Additionally, Roy noted that the wide participation will make the 2025 conference one of the most active and engaging gatherings in recent years. Therefore, this year’s edition may generate deeper literary connections across the region.
