The SEO industry is entering a different phase. Search is no longer limited to traditional Google rankings, as AI-generated answers, conversational search and changing user behaviour are forcing agencies to rethink what visibility actually means.
In Kolkata, where the digital marketing market has become increasingly crowded, a relatively new SEO agency, EEGNITE, led by founder and CEO Anish Kumar, is taking a straightforward position: SEO should ultimately contribute to business growth, not simply produce an impressive monthly report.
That approach is becoming more relevant as businesses question the value of traffic that does not lead to enquiries, sales or meaningful customer action. EEGNITE’s Kolkata SEO offering now considers visibility across conventional search as well as emerging AI and LLM-driven search experiences.
The company describes itself as performance-first and says its SEO work begins with business objectives rather than keyword volume or third-party authority scores. Its stated focus is qualified traffic, leads and revenue that can be connected back to organic search.
For Anish Kumar, the change in search is not simply about adding “AI” to an SEO strategy.
“The bigger change is in how people discover and evaluate businesses,” Anish says. “Ranking is still important, but it is only part of the picture. The real question is whether the visibility is relevant enough to bring the right people to the business.”
The agency works with clients across Kolkata, India and international markets including Bahrain, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania and the United States. Its client portfolio spans SaaS, medical and healthcare, e-commerce, professional services, among others. EEGNITE’s public testimonials include clients from India, the US, Germany, Bahrain and Lithuania, with feedback covering SEO, content, web development and wider digital marketing work.
One client, Hafedh Bucheery, founder of Bahrain-based Deepmark Branding Agency, credited the EEGNITE team with understanding the company’s positioning and delivering an effective SEO strategy that improved its online presence and rankings. Another client, Shankar Rathi of SRC Farms in India, praised the team for identifying issues early, keeping projects on track and providing SEO expertise he considered comparable to leading providers.
Recent feedback from Tarun Goyal, founder of an India-based SaaS platform, also points to the agency’s approach to SEO and website growth. In a July 2026 review, Goyal credited EEGNITE with keyword research, AI optimisation and website content creation that improved Setav’s SEO performance. He specifically noted that the website had reached the first page for searches for a specific keyword, which is essential for its organic traffic and business reach. Goyal also highlighted the team’s proactive approach to the website revamp, saying they took ownership of identifying improvements rather than waiting for the client to raise issues.
It is also a recent example of EEGNITE’s broader search strategy. Starting shortly after the website launched, the EEGNITE team worked across the project rather than limiting its role to off-page SEO. The team curated the website content, recommended technical and structural fixes, worked on search optimisation and included App Store Optimisation as part of the broader acquisition strategy.
That broader focus also extends to paid acquisition. Other published campaign examples include $2.5 million in revenue, 20x ROAS and 1,500 purchases for a US furniture business through paid advertising. While the campaign was not an SEO project, it reflects the same emphasis on connecting marketing activity with measurable business outcomes.
EEGNITE also appears to be taking a different position on pricing. The agency is not trying to present itself as the cheapest SEO provider in Kolkata. It argues that businesses should assess the value of the work, the quality of execution and the evidence behind the claims.
That evidence increasingly includes independent feedback. EEGNITE has a public presence for client reviews and recommendations across platforms including Trustpilot, LinkedIn and its Google Business Profile, alongside testimonials published on its own website. Trustpilot currently lists three reviews for EEGNITE, including recent feedback discussing SEO, AI optimisation, website content and proactive support.
The company’s LinkedIn presence also reflects its focus on search beyond traditional rankings, with recent commentary from the EEGNITE team and Anish Kumar covering AI search, SEO changes and the growing importance of visibility beyond conventional search results.
The company currently offers SEO alongside PPC, social media marketing, email marketing and web development, allowing campaigns to connect search visibility with wider conversion and acquisition activity.
There is, of course, no shortage of larger and more established digital marketing agencies in Kolkata. EEGNITE is not competing on size. Its proposition is narrower and easier to test: understand the business, fix what needs fixing, create the right content, improve visibility and track whether that visibility produces meaningful outcomes.
As AI continues to change how people discover businesses, products and services, the traditional definition of “ranking well” is likely to become less complete. That leaves agencies with a familiar question in a new environment: can they demonstrate that their work actually helps a business grow?
For EEGNITE, that question appears to be at the centre of its positioning. Whether the agency can establish itself among Kolkata’s more results-focused SEO companies will ultimately depend on whether its reported outcomes continue to translate into measurable business growth.
