The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Assam has formally launched its campaign for the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Election 2025. The event on September 2 drew massive crowds as party leaders arrived in Kokrajhar to file nominations. Supporters thronged the venue, waving party flags and chanting slogans, turning the nomination process into a show of strength.
Assam minister Pijush Hazarika expressed confidence in the party’s chances. He said the enthusiastic turnout was proof of the people’s faith in the BJP. “The nomination filing is not just a formality. It is a celebration of democracy and the people’s support for development and peace,” Hazarika said.
