Awareness Bicycle Rally on the Occasion of World Forest Day, in Agartala

On the occasion of World Forest Day, a cycle rally was organized from Oxygen Park in Salbagan, Agartala on Tuesday morning in the joint initiative of Forest Department and Air Diversity Board. The rally traverses the various routes of Agartala and ends at the Heritage Park Chief Secretary JK Sinha inaugurated the program PCCF K Shetty of Forest Department along with secretaries of various other departments were present.

Officially inaugurating the cycle rally organized on the occasion of World Forest Day, Forest Department’s PCCF K Shetty said that forests are very important to protect the environment from pollution and to keep human civilization alive. Protecting the globe is everyone’s responsibility. He appealed to people from all walks of life to come forward to save the forest to protect the environment from pollution. He said forests are essential for human survival. The relationship between man and forest is very close.
