Lembuchara, Tripura: Tipra Motha Supremo Pradyot Kishore Debbarma on Thursday delivered a strong message about the rights of the indigenous Tiprasa community during a bike rally held in Lembuchara.
Addressing supporters and party workers, Debbarma said that their political movement is not driven by the desire for power or positions such as minister or MLA. Instead, he emphasized that the struggle is focused on securing a better future for the next generation of the Tiprasa people.
“Our fight is not for the post of minister or MLA. Our fight is for our children and for securing the rights of the Tiprasa people,” Debbarma said while speaking to participants of the rally.
He further asserted that he would never compromise with the interests and identity of his community under any circumstances. His remarks drew strong support from the crowd gathered at the rally, many of whom participated in the bike procession across the Lembuchara area.
The rally was organized as part of the party’s outreach efforts to connect with people at the grassroots level and highlight issues concerning tribal rights, identity, and development in the region.
Political observers believe such public events are also aimed at strengthening the party’s base ahead of upcoming political developments in Tripura’s tribal areas, including the TTAADC elections.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from youth and local residents, reflecting growing political engagement among indigenous communities in the state.
