Agartala, Dec 17: To foster peace, harmony, and brotherhood, the Agartala Churches Co-ordination Committee organized a Christmas Peace Rally in the bustling capital city on Sunday. Aimed at spreading the message of unity across diverse communities, the rally brought people together in the spirit of the festive season.

The rally was crafted around the theme, ‘For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: And the government shall be upon his shoulder: And his name shall be called wonderful, counsellor, the almighty god, the everlasting father, the prince of peace.” This theme reflects the essence of Christmas and emphasizes the universal values of peace and goodwill.

Debbarma emphasized that Christmas is not confined to the Christian community alone but holds significance for people of all communities. The inclusive nature of the event aimed to strengthen the bonds of understanding and cooperation among individuals from diverse backgrounds.

The Christmas Peace Rally saw participants from various walks of life, coming together with joyous spirits and festive fervor. The streets echoed with hymns and messages of peace as participants marched through the heart of the city.

Community leaders and members expressed their appreciation for such initiatives that transcend religious boundaries and contribute to the overall well-being of society.
