Congress Govts Did Record Corruption, Deprived People of Welfare Schemes: Sonowal

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has alleged that the Congress governments at the Centre and in the state were involved in record corruption and had deprived the poor and marginalized sections of the society of welfare schemes. He made the remarks while addressing a gathering in Golaghat district of Assam.

Allegations Against Congress Govts

Sonowal accused the Congress governments of indulging in corruption and nepotism on a massive scale, which had resulted in the suffering of the common people. He said that the Congress had looted the state’s resources and had failed to deliver on its promises to the people.

Deprivation of Welfare Schemes

The Chief Minister also alleged that the Congress governments had deprived the poor and marginalized sections of the society of welfare schemes and had not provided them with the basic necessities of life. He said that the BJP government, under his leadership, was committed to ensuring that every citizen of Assam had access to basic amenities like education, healthcare, and employment.

Need for Development

Sonowal emphasized the need for development in Assam and said that the state government was taking all necessary steps to achieve this goal. He said that the government was investing in infrastructure, education, and healthcare, and that it was also promoting tourism and industries.

The Chief Minister said that the BJP was committed to the development of Assam and that it was working tirelessly to improve the lives of the people. He urged the people of Assam to support the BJP government in its efforts to build a prosperous and developed state.
