Court’s Verdict on Father who Killed Five People Including Minor Daughters, Sentenced to Death

A Tripura court has sentenced a 40-year-old man to death for killing five people, including his two daughters, elder brother and a police officer, last year. Tripura Police spokesperson said that the Khowai District and Sessions Court convicted the accused Pradip Deb Roy for murdering his two minor daughters Aditi Deb Roy, Mandira Deb Roy, elder brother Amlesh Deb Roy with iron rods and sentenced them to death.

The incident took place on November 26 last year in North Ramchandraghat area of ​​Khowai district. When the police team led by Inspector Satyajit Mallick reached the spot, Deb Roy attacked the police officer and two others – Krishna Das and his son Karandhir Das, who were going to Deb Roy’s house in an auto rickshaw – with an iron rod. .

Police Inspector and Karandhir Das later succumbed during treatment. Deb Roy had also assaulted his wife Meena Paul (Deb Roy). The police spokesperson said that the death sentence to Deb Roy was based on the confirmation by the Tripura High Court.
