UDAIPUR, Oct 8, The famous Diwali Fair at Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur, Gomati District, is set to begin from October 20 and continue till October 22. The Finance Minister of Tripura chaired a high-level meeting on Tuesday at the Gomati district administration conference hall to review the arrangements for the event. Officials discussed infrastructure, crowd management, cleanliness, and safety measures to ensure a smooth and festive experience for all attendees.

Preparations Underway for the Grand Diwali Celebration
The Diwali Fair and Festival Committee has been working round the clock to make the event memorable. During the meeting, the Finance Minister emphasized the importance of coordination between departments to manage the expected influx of visitors.
Local authorities have been directed to improve the lighting, sanitation, and parking facilities around the temple premises. The Tourism Department will set up special stalls to promote Tripura’s traditional crafts, handloom products, and local delicacies.
The fair will also include cultural performances, devotional music, and food stalls showcasing regional cuisine. Organizers said that the event aims not only to uphold spiritual traditions but also to boost local tourism and small-scale businesses during the festive season.
Focus on Devotee Safety and Crowd Management
The administration is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the safety of devotees. The Tripura Police and Fire & Emergency Services have been instructed to deploy sufficient personnel throughout the temple complex and fairground.
