The music IP, shaped by DJ Tejas’ distinctive musical vision and curated in collaboration with Ankit Vashist of The Brand – An Artist Factory, is reimagining 90s Bollywood nostalgia for a new generation
In an era dominated by electronic dance music, techno and Afro-inspired sounds, DJ Tejas is creating a distinctive space for Bollywood nostalgia with Chitrahaar, a music-led entertainment concept celebrating the timeless appeal of Hindi film melodies.
The third edition of Chitrahaar, held on October 24 at Quake Arena, Worlds 30, Hyderabad, witnessed a sold-out response, reflecting the growing audience interest in experiences that combine familiar Bollywood classics with the energy of contemporary nightlife.
At the heart of Chitrahaar is DJ Tejas’ musical vision: revisiting the songs that defined an era and presenting them in a fresh, contemporary format without losing their original emotional connection. The concept brings the nostalgia of 90s Bollywood to modern dance floors, offering audiences an experience that goes beyond a conventional DJ night.
The growing success of Chitrahaar is also driven by a collaborative approach to music curation and entertainment development. DJ Tejas, signed with The Brand – An Artist Factory, is working alongside Ankit Vashist, Managing Director of the company, to develop the concept into a distinctive and evolving live entertainment property.
While DJ Tejas brings the musical identity and artistic direction that define Chitrahaar, the collaboration with Ankit Vashist and The Brand – An Artist Factory focuses on curating the overall experience, expanding the format and building the IP for a wider audience.
One of the key elements of this evolution is the integration of live musicians and singers into the experience. By combining DJ performances with live musical elements, Chitrahaar aims to create a more immersive format that celebrates the richness of Bollywood music while introducing new dimensions to the club experience.
At a time when audiences have access to an increasingly diverse range of global music genres, Chitrahaar taps into something enduring: the emotional connection people share with songs from their formative years. It brings together generations through melodies that remain relevant across time, while presenting them in a setting that resonates with today’s nightlife culture.
Following the successful third edition, the team has announced Chitrahaar 4.0 for November 21, 2026, at Big Bull, Worlds 61, Hyderabad. The event will mark the final Hyderabad edition of Chitrahaar for 2026, before DJ Tejas embarks on a scheduled two-month tour of the United States for a series of performances.
The journey of Chitrahaar reflects a broader shift in live entertainment, where artist-driven concepts are evolving into original intellectual properties with their own identity, audience and long-term potential. With its blend of nostalgia, contemporary presentation and live musical performances, Chitrahaar is steadily building a distinctive presence in Hyderabad’s entertainment landscape.
As the next edition approaches, the focus remains on expanding the experience while staying true to its central idea: celebrating the timeless magic of Bollywood music through DJ Tejas’ musical vision and a collaborative effort to take Chitrahaar to new audiences.
