On December 17, 2024, the 58 GTC, under the auspices of Headquarters 101 Area, organized a major Ex-Servicemen Rally at Happy Valley, Shillong. The event brought together over 300 ex-servicemen, Veer Naris, war widows, and their families from across Meghalaya, aimed at strengthening the bond between the Indian Army, veterans, their dependents, and the broader community. During the rally, financial assistance of ₹20,000 was provided to Silia Mary Kharbudnah, a widow of an ex-serviceman. Additionally, sixty Veer Naris, Ex-Servicemen, and war widows were felicitated in recognition of their remarkable service to the nation.
