GURGAON, India — Jaswinder Gandhi Arora, affectionately known as ‘Jassi,’ is redefining what it means to be a modern entrepreneur in the MediaTech space. A proud daughter of Barakar, Asansol, Jassi’s journey from a small-town upbringing to becoming a recognized voice in global MediaTech leadership is a testament to the power of perseverance and lifelong learning.
A Foundation Built on Encouragement Growing up in an era when young women were often sheltered, Jassi credits her wings to her father, Darshan Singh Gandhi. His unwavering encouragement to explore the world gave her the confidence to step out of her comfort zone. A proud alumna of Loreto Convent, Asansol, Jassi pursued her bachelor’s degree from Delhi University and a Post-Graduate degree in Management from Kolkata, building an academic foundation that would later support a stellar career.
A Diverse Professional Odyssey Jassi’s career is as diverse as the languages she speaks. With extensive experience across Star TV and Hindustan Times, and through her travels across West Bengal and the Northeast, Jassi has worn many hats—from media strategist to tech innovator. Her deep understanding of media and technology is complemented by her linguistic versatility; she is proficient in Bengali, Hindi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Marwari, and Maithili, allowing her to connect with diverse communities across India.
The Rise of a Tech Leader Currently the founder and CEO of RVJ Media Tech LLP, based in Gurgaon, Jassi is a champion of the philosophy that “learning has no expiry date.” She recently graduated from the prestigious global Rise Mentorship Program—a non-profit initiative supported by industry giants like AWS (Amazon Web Services), Sony, and other global leaders.
The program, which is headquartered in the UK with regional chapters across Europe, North America, India, APAC, ANZ, and the Middle East, is dedicated to empowering women in media technology. On March 6th, 2026, Jassi was honored to be a featured panelist at the Amazon Gurgaon office for the Rise “Give to Gain” event, held to celebrate the mentorship program and encourage women to thrive in MediaTech.
A Message for the Future As a devoted mother and a trailblazing founder, Jassi is a living example of how women can juggle multifaceted roles while shattering self-imposed limits. Her message to young girls in Asansol and across the country is clear: “Geography does not define your destiny. Whether you are in a small town or a bustling metro, your vision and your willingness to learn are your greatest assets.”
