Theme Highlights Empowerment and Better Health

This year’s theme, “Empowering Women: Transforming Health,” underlines the strong link between awareness and improved health outcomes. When women gain knowledge and access to services, families and communities benefit as well.

In the Northeast, women continue to face serious health challenges. For instance, anemia, malnutrition and reproductive health problems remain common. In addition, non-communicable diseases, viral hepatitis and mental health concerns add to the burden. Therefore, the conclave will provide a platform for discussion, scientific exchange and community engagement.

Experts to Lead Scientific Discussions

Distinguished doctors from Tripura and West Bengal will deliver lectures and join panel discussions. Moreover, interactive sessions will allow participants to ask questions and seek expert guidance.

Dr. Minakshi De (Bhaumik), Chairman of the Organising Committee, stated that health education and preventive care form the backbone of a healthy society. Meanwhile, Organising Secretary Dr. Debipriya Saha emphasised that the event will focus on practical community impact, not just academic debate.

Scientific Chairman Dr. Soma Saha further stressed the need to combine evidence-based medicine with social awareness initiatives.

Focus on Preventive and Holistic Healthcare

The scientific sessions will cover preventive care, metabolic disorders and other non-communicable diseases. Sessions will also address liver health, infectious diseases, reproductive health and mental wellbeing.

Special emphasis will remain on early diagnosis and community-based interventions. At the same time, experts will discuss gender-sensitive healthcare delivery models. As lifestyles change and health risks increase, interdisciplinary collaboration becomes essential. Hence, the conclave aims to strengthen professional capacity across Tripura.

Broad Participation Expected

Doctors, nurses, nursing faculty members and public health professionals are expected to attend. Registration for delegates has already begun.

To ensure smooth conduct, HFT has formed an Organising Committee comprising senior clinicians and public health experts.

Overall, the Women Health Conclave 2026 reflects HFT’s continued commitment to promoting equitable healthcare access. More importantly, the initiative seeks to empower women with knowledge, dignity and better health outcomes across the state.
