A prominent Kuki Christian organisation has urged authorities to secure the immediate release of remaining hostages and launch a thorough investigation into the killing of church leaders amid the ongoing ethnic unrest in Manipur. The appeal comes at a time when tension continues to grip several sensitive districts of the northeastern state.
The organisation expressed deep concern over the deteriorating security situation in the hill areas. It also alleged that repeated attacks on civilians, religious leaders, and places of worship have created fear among local communities.
