The Manipur Police arrested the founder chairman of the banned KCP (PWG) outfit along with four cadres during a major security operation in Imphal. According to the police, the accused has been identified as Mutum Inao Singh, a resident of Tronglaobi Awang Leikai. The arrest took place on May 13 under the jurisdiction of Lamsang Police Station.
Police officials stated that security personnel seized around 250 litres of DIC liquor along with a vehicle from his possession during the operation.
In an official statement, the police said, “On 13th May 2026, Police apprehended a liquor bootlegger, Mutum Inao Singh (30) of Tronglaobi Awang Leikai, from Lamsang Bazar under Lamsang-PS in the Imphal West district.”
Authorities added that the seized liquor and vehicle have been taken into custody for further investigation. Legal action has also been initiated against the accused under relevant laws.
