- Funded with an allocation of ₹49.53 crore under Meghalaya’s state road development plan.
- Phase Two:
- Covering 38.6 kilometers from Umden to Sonapur.
- Financed under PMGSY III Batch I with a budget of ₹47.20 crore.
Upon completion, the road will feature a 5.5-meter-wide intermediate lane, significantly enhancing commuter safety and travel efficiency. This strategic design ensures smoother transportation for both residents and businesses.

- ₹1,100 crore under the state plan.
- ₹1,100 crore from the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
- ₹400 crore through the Central Infrastructure Fund (CIRF).
- ₹140 crore from the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF).
- ₹2,000 crore supported by the World Bank.
