The government of Mizoram has unveiled Mizoram FOCUS 2.0, a flagship program aimed at strengthening climate-resilient agriculture and sustainable livelihoods. With Rs 380 crore assistance cleared by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the initiative marks a significant leap forward in tackling the state’s pressing farming challenges.
Chief Minister Lalduhoma said the new phase of the program would build on the successes of the earlier Farmers’ Collectivization for Upscaling Production and Marketing Systems (FOCUS). The emphasis, he explained, will now shift toward integrating modern climate-smart techniques, improving market access, and securing long-term food security for the state.
