The summons, circulated widely on social media platforms, bears the joint signatures of KU president Tingthok Konyak, Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (KNSK) president Ponglem Konka, and Konyak Students’ Union president T Noklem Konyak. It highlights concerns regarding remarks made by Chingwang during an election rally held on April 5 in Wokha, deemed by the CSOs as adverse. Additionally, Chingwang’s alleged unfavorable comments on the Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) issue were cited.
The CSOs expressed strong disapproval of Chingwang’s behavior, accusing him of repeatedly disregarding the Eastern Nagaland (EN) community, specifically the Konyaks. They emphasized that such conduct not only challenges the authority of the Konyak CSO but also brings disgrace and humiliation upon the entire EN community.
Chingwang Konyak has been summoned to appear at the Konyak Union office in Mon Headquarters within 48 hours of receiving the notice. During this time, he is expected to address the alleged violations and provide explanations for his actions. The CSOs warned that failure to comply would compel them to initiate stringent disciplinary measures against him.
The summons underscores the gravity with which the Konyak CSOs view Chingwang’s actions and their commitment to upholding the values and directives set forth by the community.
