The Millet Celebration Program was organized in Ranchi on 16 October 2025 by Milefe Natural Private Limited on the occasion of World Food Day.
The chief guest at the event was Hon’ble Agriculture Minister Mrs. Neha Tirkey. In her address, she said that the land of Jharkhand is rich in agricultural resources and the state government is giving special attention to millet crops.
The Agriculture Minister honored the work of Mr. Ravi Kumar Nishad, founder of Jai Dharti Maa Foundation, and said that his dedicated efforts are guiding farmers toward success in the agricultural sector. She added that because of Mr. Nishad’s initiatives, farmers in Jharkhand are becoming self-reliant and agricultural production is increasing.
Farmers from across Jharkhand participated in the program and gained knowledge about millet cultivation. Encouraging the farmers, the Agriculture Minister urged them to adopt millet farming and increase their income.
The event was successfully conducted.
Those present from Jai Dharti Maa Foundation included: District Secretary Sahdev Mahato, Program Officer Md. Shamsher Ali, Area In-charge Md. Rahmat Ali, Co-founder Ranjit Kumar, and Scheduled Tribe Program Officer Sudhir Hembram.
The farmers greatly benefited from the millet awareness and training activities held during the program.
