Assam Agriculture and Irrigation Minister Pijush Hazarika addressed a BJP election meeting at Pavakati Bazar in Laharighat. The meeting took place as the party stepped up its campaign for the upcoming Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election.
The BJP’s Bhuragaon Mandal organised the meeting. Hazarika spoke about development work and infrastructure projects in the area. He also highlighted flood protection and road connectivity.
Minister Highlights Flood Protection Work

During the meeting, Hazarika highlighted work carried out around Pavakati. He said the area had faced severe flooding in the past.

Hazarika further claimed that around Rs 1,000 crore had been brought for erosion protection work in the area. These figures and claims came from the minister during his election meeting.

Hazarika also spoke about road connectivity in Laharighat. He highlighted projects under the Asom Mala programme.
