Pithe Puli Utsav 2025: Celebrating Culture and Tradition with Sweet Delights

The vibrant city of Agartala is all set to host the much-awaited first edition of Pithe Puli Utsav, a three-day celebration that will take place from January 17 to 19 at Mukti Sangha, Ramnagar 6, Agartala. Presented by Mukti Sangha, In-Association with Amar Tripura and Curated by Agartala Events For You, A Venture of Totell. This cultural and culinary extravaganza promises to bring the essence of Bengali heritage to life through delectable sweets, live performances, and traditional festivities.

The Pithe Puli Utsav is a celebration of the time-honored art of making pithe and puli – traditional Bengali rice cakes and sweets that hold a special place in winter harvest festivities. This three-day festival aims to revive and showcase the rich culinary traditions and cultural heritage of Bengalis, making it an unmissable event for food enthusiasts, culture lovers, and families alike.

The Pithe Puli Utsav is a unique festival dedicated to the traditional sweet delicacies known as pithe and puli, which hold a special place in Bengali culture. Visitors can look forward to an exquisite array of rice cakes and sweets made from locally sourced ingredients such as rice flour, jaggery, and coconut. Renowned chefs and homemakers from across the region will come together to present their unique creations, offering an unparalleled gastronomic experience.

In addition to culinary delights, the festival will feature an array of Traditional Fashion Show- Threads of Fashion, Influencers Adda, Unmish – A Recitation Evening, Alpana Competition, cultural performances, including, Folk Dance and Musical Performances by renowned band “Meghbalika” on 19th January, Arnav Sarkar, Team Mourita Live and name a few.  A Cooking Workshop will be organized by Master Chef Amitabh Dutta (Assam).
