PM Modi to Attend Tripura Government Swearing on March 8

Chief Secretary S K Sinha is currently holding a meeting with senior officials to prepare for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state. An SPG team is also expected to arrive today. The Prime Minister is visiting to attend the oath-taking ceremony of the new government on March 8, which will be held at Vivekananda ground in Agartala.

The Chief Minister of the state, Manik Saha, tendered his resignation to Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya on Friday. The new government is set to take oath on March 8, and the Prime Minister is scheduled to attend the event.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is also the chairman of NEDA (North East Democratic Alliance), is expected to arrive today for the swearing-in ceremony of the new government in the state. Senior party leaders and chief ministers of BJP ruled states will also be invited to witness the ceremony, as per BJP state vice president Rebati Tripura.

Furthermore, BJP state in-charge Mahesh Sarma and election in-charge Mahendra Singh are currently in the northeastern state. However, the meeting of the party’s newly elected members is yet to be finalized, according to BJP state spokesperson Nabendu Bhattacharjee.
