Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to embark on a two-day visit to multiple states in India, including Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, and Rajasthan, on July 7 and 8. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has announced that during his visit, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of various projects worth approximately Rs 50,000 crore.

On July 7, PM Modi will commence his visit in Raipur, the capital city of Chhattisgarh. He will participate in a public program where he will lay the foundation stone and dedicate several development projects. Among these projects are five national highway initiatives, totaling around Rs 6,400 crore, including the four-laning of the Raipur-Kodebod section of the Jabalpur-Jagdalpur National Highway and the four-lane Bilaspur-Pathrapali stretch of NH-130. Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate three national highway projects for the Chhattisgarh segment of the six-lane Greenfield Raipur-Visakhapatnam corridor.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will dedicate the doubling of the Raipur-Khariar Road Rail Line, spanning 103 km, which has been completed at a cost of Rs 750 crore. He will also inaugurate a new railway line connecting Keoti-Antagarh, covering a distance of 17 km. Additionally, a bottling plant of the Indian Oil Corporation, constructed at a cost of over Rs 130 crores, with a capacity of 60,000 metric tons per annum, will be inaugurated during the visit.

Moreover, PM Modi will kickstart the distribution of 75 lakh cards to beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, a health insurance initiative, during his time in Chhattisgarh.

Later on July 7, the Prime Minister will travel to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, where he is scheduled to participate in the closing ceremony of the centenary celebrations of Gita Press. Additionally, PM Modi will flag off Vande Bharat trains from Gorakhpur. During the Gita Press program, he will release the chitramaya Shiva Purana granth and also visit the Leela Chitra temple.

It is noteworthy that all the states PM Modi is visiting, except for Uttar Pradesh, are expected to hold elections later this year. The projects being inaugurated and the foundation stones being laid during this visit are aimed at enhancing infrastructure, connectivity, and public welfare in these states.
