When determination remains as strong as the Himalayas, no challenge can stop the journey forward. That spirit defines young cyclist Pappu Ram Choudhary from Rajasthan, whose inspiring cross-country expedition has now reached Dharmanagar in Tripura.
Choudhary, a native of Khimsar village in Rajasthan’s Nagaur district, arrived in Tripura as part of his ambitious “Shakti Sankalp Safar,” a 60,000-kilometre cycling mission across India. After traveling through Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh, he reached Dharmanagar on Wednesday and stayed overnight at the Circuit House.
Journey Across States and Union Territories
Since beginning his journey in Rajasthan, Choudhary has already covered nearly 39,000 kilometres. During this time, he has cycled through 23 states and six union territories. Despite long distances and demanding terrain, he continues to push forward with unwavering determination.
Moreover, his journey has taken him across remote border regions near India–Bangladesh and India–Bhutan. He has also faced unpredictable weather, steep mountain roads, and physical exhaustion. However, none of these challenges have weakened his resolve.

A Mission Rooted in Social Responsibility
Choudhary emphasizes that his expedition is not about personal recognition. Instead, he aims to spread a strong message of social responsibility across the country. His mission stands on three major pillars that focus on environment, safety, and youth empowerment.
First, he actively promotes environmental conservation. As part of his pledge to plant one lakh trees, he has already planted nearly 30,000 saplings across different states. Through this effort, he encourages communities to protect nature and fight climate change.
Second, he works to improve road safety awareness. During his journey, Choudhary visits schools and colleges to interact with students. He speaks about traffic discipline, safe driving habits, and the importance of following road rules to reduce accidents.
Third, he focuses on youth empowerment and social reform. He campaigns against drug abuse and urges young people to stay away from harmful addictions. At the same time, he motivates them to take up sports, fitness, and healthy lifestyles.
Message to India’s Youth
While speaking to reporters in Tripura, Choudhary shared the deeper purpose behind his journey. “My goal is not only to conquer Mount Everest,” he said. “I want every young Indian’s dream to rise higher than Everest itself.”
He added that building a healthy, aware, and disciplined India remains the true objective of his Shakti Sankalp Safar. According to him, physical fitness, mental strength, and social awareness form the foundation of national progress.
Everest Summit Is the Final Goal
After completing his journey through Tripura, Choudhary plans to continue into more challenging mountainous regions. His ultimate goal is to hoist the Indian tricolour atop Mount Everest, symbolizing determination, unity, and national pride.
Meanwhile, his arrival in Tripura has generated enthusiasm among local residents. Many gathered to welcome him and learn about his mission. People expressed admiration for his courage and dedication to social causes.
Inspiration Beyond the Finish Line
As Choudhary pedals forward, his journey continues to inspire people across India. His Shakti Sankalp Safar serves as a reminder that determination, discipline, and purpose can overcome even the toughest obstacles.
The hope shared by many is clear. They wish to see his mission succeed and the Indian flag fly proudly on the world’s highest peak.
