Second Accused Arrested in Churaibari Boy’s Murder Case; Police Probe Familial Enmity Angle

Churaibari Police achieved a major breakthrough in the murder case of eight-year-old Amrit Sinha. They arrested the second accused, Tapas Sinha (38), during the ongoing investigation. Additionally, officers produced him in court and secured a three-day police remand for detailed interrogation.

The first accused, Madan Gopal Sinha (36), was arrested earlier, and he remains in jail. With this second arrest, the police believe the investigation will now move faster.

Details of the Crime

Officer-in-Charge Debabrata Biswas explained how the crime took place. On the morning of November 24, Bijaya Sinha and her son Amrit were walking home from school. Suddenly, a group of attackers stopped them near Kherengbari. They carried sharp weapons and launched a violent assault.

The attackers struck Amrit on his head and chest, and he died on the spot. Meanwhile, Bijaya sustained multiple cut injuries but survived. Soon after, locals rushed her to Silchar Medical College, and doctors now say she is stable.

Motive Behind the Attack

According to OC Biswas, familial enmity triggered the brutal assault. However, the police expect the motive to become clearer during interrogation. Furthermore, officers are tracking other suspects involved in the crime. They remain confident that they will arrest the remaining culprits soon.

Community Response

The murder shocked the entire community. As a result, residents demanded strict action and quick justice for the young victim and his mother. At the same time, police teams continue their search operations and evidence collection. Ultimately, they aim to ensure a fair and speedy conclusion to the case.
