Sunny Verma, Owner of CDF Venture, Calls Modelling the Key to Bollywood & OTT – Hints at a Big Show

Sunny Verma, a renowned figure in the Indian entertainment industry, has strongly stated that despite the rise of Bollywood, OTT, and reality shows, modelling remains the foundation for any newcomer. He emphasized that while career aspirations may vary, the starting point has always been the same—modelling.

Born and raised in Chandigarh, Sunny Verma emerged from a middle-class background to establish himself as a trailblazer in the entertainment industry. Over the past decade, he has made significant contributions, particularly in making modelling and acting more accessible to fresh talent.

While many recognized the importance of online meetings and virtual work during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Sunny Verma had already introduced the concept of online auditions in 2017. His visionary idea became a game-changer, revolutionizing how auditions were conducted across Bollywood, reality shows, and the modelling industry. Today, almost every major production house, agency, and talent-hiring platform follows this model, proving his foresight was a masterstroke.

In the past, freshers looking to break into the industry had to pay hefty fees to participate in modelling and acting auditions. Between 2010 and 2016, high costs made it difficult for middle-class aspirants to step into the entertainment world. Sunny Verma disrupted this trend, making the glamour and modelling industry affordable and accessible to everyone. His contribution allowed thousands of freshers to start their journeys with minimal financial burden, a change that is now widely appreciated.

Having organized around 13–14 major modelling shows in the past, Sunny Verma is now making a grand comeback with a new modelling event that he promises will be another industry trend-setter. After a long break from the modelling industry, his announcement has already sparked excitement among aspiring models and actors.

Many recognized celebrities have either been present at or promoted Sunny Verma’s projects, including Gulshan Grover, Urvashi Rautela, Sonu Sood, Mouni Roy, Esha Gupta, Karan Kundrra, Rannvijay Singha, and Prince Narula. Their association with his work further validates his impact on the industry.

Speaking about his upcoming modelling show, Sunny Verma revealed that his vision is to connect young aspirants with Bollywood and the TV industry in a structured way, minimizing their struggles. He aims to provide them with a clear pathway where they understand how to showcase their talent efficiently and enter the industry without unnecessary hardships.

“I know that a middle-class fresher aiming to be a part of the entertainment or modelling industry is either a student, a job holder, or unemployed. They have multiple responsibilities, and it’s not easy to leave everything behind to focus solely on their dreams. Everyone can’t shift to Mumbai or quit their jobs or studies. But without experience, no one learns. Through this show, I will make things easier for them, allowing them to balance their ambitions with their current life,” Sunny Verma stated while making the announcement.

With this initiative, all eyes are now on Sunny Verma as he once again takes the lead in shaping the future of fresh talent in the entertainment industry. His upcoming modelling show is expected to provide a massive platform for newcomers, making their journey smoother and more structured than ever before.
