Tripura Border Incident: BSF Personnel Injured in Stone Pelting

A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, Constable Tradesman Md Rahul Amin, suffered serious injuries in a stone-pelting incident by suspected smugglers while on guard duty in Sepahijala, Tripura.

Unprovoked Attack Near Border Outpost

The unfortunate incident took place during the night of February 3rd-4th near the Border Outpost (BOP) Kullubari in the Sepahijala district. Amin, diligently performing his duty at the border post, was targeted by the alleged smugglers.

Constable Amin sustained significant injuries to his face and body during the unprovoked attack. The severity of the assault prompted swift action, leading to his immediate evacuation. Currently, Amin is undergoing medical treatment at GB Hospital.

BSF sources revealed that the attack occurred within the Sonamura subdivision of Sepahijala district. In response to this heinous act, the BSF has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the suspected smugglers. An ongoing investigation is aimed at identifying and bringing the perpetrators to justice.

This incident underscores the challenges faced by security personnel in maintaining the integrity of India’s borders. The BSF remains committed to safeguarding the nation and its citizens from any external threats.
