Tripura CM Calls for Politics to be a Means of Service, Criticizes Syndicate Culture in Organizational Meeting

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has called for politics to be a means of serving the people, rather than a medium for earning money. Speaking at an organizational meeting of the Gomati district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Dr. Saha emphasized the importance of “Seva” or service in the party’s politics.

Dr. Saha also criticized the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) and Congress for promoting a “syndicate culture” in politics, and stated that the BJP does not believe in such practices. He called on those who are involved in such activities to come out of it.

The Chief Minister urged all party workers to work together with full dedication to transform Tripura into a model state. He also praised the hard work of party workers in securing the BJP’s victory in the last assembly elections.

During the meeting, Dr. Saha outlined the development plans for the Gomati district, which includes the creation of new jobs and the improvement of infrastructure. He also highlighted the importance of empowering women in the state and ensuring their participation in the development process.

The organizational meeting was attended by Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, MLA Rampada Jamatia, and MLA Abhishek Debroy, among other party leaders. The leaders discussed various issues related to the party’s organizational structure and the upcoming local body elections in the state.

The BJP has been making steady gains in Tripura since coming to power in 2018. The party’s focus on development and its efforts to bring investment to the state have been well-received by the people. The party has also been successful in attracting leaders from other political parties to join its ranks.

The BJP’s rise in Tripura has been accompanied by a decline in the fortunes of the CPM, which had ruled the state for over two decades. The CPM has been accused of promoting a culture of violence and intimidation in the state, and the BJP has capitalized on this by positioning itself as a party of peace and development.

The BJP’s success in Tripura has been attributed to its organizational strength and the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The party has also been able to tap into the aspirations of the state’s youth, who are looking for better job opportunities and a brighter future.

However, the BJP’s rise in Tripura has also been accompanied by a rise in communal tensions in the state. The party’s efforts to polarize the electorate along religious lines have been criticized by opposition parties and civil society groups.

The BJP’s success in Tripura is a result of its focus on development and its organizational strength. The party’s rise has also been aided by the decline of the CPM, which had ruled the state for over two decades. However, the BJP’s efforts to polarize the electorate along religious lines have been criticized by many, and it remains to be seen how the party will address these concerns in the future.
