Tripura CM Manik Saha Attends 125th Mann Ki Baat in Khowai

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday participated in the 125th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program at Asharambari in Khowai district, marking his first attendance at this flagship event in a tribal area. The gathering, held in the East Takchaya region, witnessed the presence of senior BJP leaders, district officials, and a large number of party supporters.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saha called upon citizens to actively listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio program, stressing its importance as a medium to connect the nation with grassroots voices and inspire collective participation in national development. He urged every community member to take lessons from the Prime Minister’s words and contribute positively to society.

Warning Against Disruptions

Without directly naming any organization, the Chief Minister issued a strong caution against attempts to disrupt such public programs. He said that the government would not tolerate efforts to disturb peaceful gatherings and made it clear that such actions harm the spirit of democracy. His statement comes in the backdrop of a past incident at Asharambari’s Booth No. 30, where alleged Tipra Motha supporters attacked a ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program. Condemning the incident, Dr. Saha appealed for unity and peaceful participation from all sections of society.

Focus on ADC and Tribal Development

Highlighting his government’s commitment, Dr. Saha said development in the Autonomous District Council (ADC) areas is moving at a rapid pace. He reiterated that the BJP is determined to ensure growth, infrastructure expansion, and social welfare schemes in tribal regions. According to him, the state government is working tirelessly to bring parity in development between urban and rural areas, with special emphasis on marginalized communities.

Dr. Saha also emphasized the importance of organizational strength in tribal belts, underlining the BJP’s continuous outreach in remote areas. He expressed confidence that the party’s strong presence in ADC regions will pave the way for inclusive growth and strengthen Tripura’s political stability.

Leaders in Attendance

The program was attended by several prominent leaders, including BJP state in-charge Ratan Ghosh, MDC Bhumika Nand Ryang, and Khowai district BJP president Binay Debbarma. The leaders echoed the Chief Minister’s call for peace, unity, and grassroots participation in national programs like ‘Mann Ki Baat’.

Call for Inclusive Participation

In his concluding remarks, Dr. Saha appealed to people across different walks of life—including government employees, private sector workers, students, and farmers—to engage actively with programs like ‘Mann Ki Baat’. He said such initiatives foster national integration, motivate citizens, and bring communities closer to the vision of “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).

Dr. Saha’s participation in the 125th edition of the Prime Minister’s address underlines the Tripura government’s commitment to peace, inclusive growth, and the empowerment of tribal communities, reaffirming the BJP’s focus on strengthening both development and democratic participation in the state.
