Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday attended the state-level ASHA convention organised at the International Indoor Exhibition Centre in Agartala, where he praised Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) for their contribution to strengthening grassroots healthcare services across the state.
The convention witnessed the participation of hundreds of ASHA workers from different districts of Tripura. Senior officials from the Health and Family Welfare Department, healthcare professionals, and government representatives also attended the programme.
Addressing the gathering, the chief minister acknowledged the dedication and hard work of ASHA workers in delivering healthcare services to remote and rural communities. He stated that ASHA workers have become the backbone of the public healthcare system by connecting people with government health programmes and ensuring awareness at the grassroots level.
