Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said on Tuesday that the state government has given jobs to 20,181 people since the BJP came to power. This number includes appointments under the die-in-harness scheme.
The Chief Minister made the announcement at the Muktadhara Auditorium in Agartala. During the programme, the government handed appointment letters to 157 Physical Education Teachers and Special Educators.

Recruitment Process Is Now Transparent
Dr. Saha said that recruitment in Tripura is now free from influence and political interference. He stated that all appointments are based on merit. According to him, the government ensures fairness at every step.
He claimed that during the previous government, many candidates depended on political “source” to get a job.
- “The source-based system is over,” he said. “Today, youth trust the recruitment process because it is transparent and merit-based.”
Focus on Expanding Employment
The Chief Minister said that giving more than twenty thousand jobs shows the government’s focus on improving employment opportunities in Tripura. He added that the appointments will also help strengthen government services.
Dr. Saha said the government will continue creating opportunities in education, health, and other key sectors.
Youth Confidence Growing
He also said that young people in the state now feel more confident about government recruitment. They believe that hard work and qualification are enough to secure a job.
The Chief Minister assured that the government will keep working to expand job avenues and improve public services.
