Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving education access across the state. He said that no talented student should abandon higher studies because of financial barriers. Moreover, he emphasized that education plays a key role in shaping a stronger future for Tripura.
Speaking at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala, Dr. Saha expressed confidence in the dedication of the state’s youth. He stated that the government wants every student to receive quality education and continue their academic journey without fear of financial limitations.

Support for Meritorious Students
During the event, Dr. Saha distributed scholarships under the Chief Minister’s Scholarship for Achievers Towards Higher Learning (CM-SATH) scheme. The School Education Department organized the program to encourage academic excellence among young learners. Additionally, the initiative aims to reduce financial stress on students and their families.
Under the scheme, 200 students who passed the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations will each receive ₹60,000. This support will help them manage essential academic expenses and continue their higher studies with confidence.
Strengthening Education in Tripura
Dr. Saha said the CM-SATH initiative reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the education sector. Furthermore, he mentioned that the administration is introducing reforms to enhance infrastructure, improve learning environments, and create better academic opportunities for students across the state.
He also highlighted that investment in education directly contributes to the development of skilled youth. As a result, the state expects a more capable and confident generation ready to support Tripura’s growth.

The scholarship program received positive response from students and parents. Many shared that the financial support will allow them to focus more on studies and less on financial concerns.
