Rajib Datta, IAS, formerly Director of Elementary Education and Director of Secondary Education with additional charge of State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), has been transferred as Director, Panchayats.
At the same time, Dr. Samit Roy Choudhury, IAS, has been appointed Director of Elementary and Secondary Education along with the additional responsibility of State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
He will also continue to serve as Registrar of SIPARD.
Changes in Rural Development and Revenue
The government has transferred Subhash Chandra Saha, IAS, from the Rural Development Department to the Revenue Department as Additional Secretary.
However, he will continue to hold the additional charge of Director (Projects), State Level Monitoring Committee of Rural Development, and Competent Authority, IGGL.
Additionally, Sagar Sobhan Debnath, IAS, previously ADM & Collector (Planning), Unakoti district, has been appointed Joint Secretary, Rural Development Department.

Upendra Jamatia, IAS, who served as ADM & Collector of Sepahijala district, has been appointed Inspector General of Prisons.

In addition, Prasun De, TCS, will continue as Director, Land Records & Settlement after being relieved of his additional charge as Director of Panchayats.
