Tripura Government to Showcase Organic Queen Pineapple and Agricultural Products in Varanasi

On Monday, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated a national conference cum buyers and sellers meeting organized by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare at Prajna Bhavan in the capital. During the event, the Chief Minister announced that the Tripura government would be showcasing the delicious organic Queen Pineapple along with various other fruits and agricultural products in Varanasi on July 21.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha highlighted the abundant resources in Tripura, including rubber, bamboo, natural gas, and a variety of agriculture and horticulture crops. He expressed pride in Tripura’s agricultural products, such as pineapple, which are gaining recognition and being exported abroad. Additionally, the Chief Minister noted that the price of fragrant lemon has been on the rise, further indicating the growth and potential of Tripura’s agricultural sector.

During the opening ceremony of the National Conference, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha emphasized the crucial role of agriculture in Tripura’s economy, stating that the state’s economic foundation is primarily based on its agricultural system. He also emphasized the significant contribution of agriculture to the overall development of the country’s economy. Tripura is blessed with abundant natural resources, including rubber, tea, agar, bamboo, and gas, which present substantial potential for industrial development and growth.

The Chief Minister proudly mentioned that Tripura is making rapid progress in rubber production and currently ranks as the second largest rubber-producing state in the country, following Kerala. This achievement showcases the state’s dedication and potential in the agricultural sector.
