Tripura Hosts Namo Yuva Run Under Seva Pakhwada to Promote Drug-Free India

As part of the nationwide Seva Pakhwada initiative commemorating the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on Sunday organized the Namo Yuva Run across 75 locations in India. The program has been launched to encourage the youth to join hands in creating a healthier nation and to spread awareness about the mission of building a drug-free India.

In Tripura, the state-level program of the Namo Yuva Run was flagged off in front of the historic Ujjayanta Palace, Agartala. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the event in the presence of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State President and Member of Parliament Rajib Bhattacharjee. Both leaders emphasized the importance of channeling youth energy toward constructive goals and ensuring collective participation in the campaign against addiction.

The event attracted a massive turnout of energetic young participants who pledged to stand for a healthier lifestyle and an addiction-free society. The atmosphere at the Ujjayanta Palace was filled with motivation as the youth responded to the clarion call: “One Resolution: Drug-Free India, Drug-Free Tripura.”

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha underlined that drug abuse is not just a personal issue but a societal challenge that needs to be tackled collectively. He stated that the government of Tripura is committed to working at both administrative and community levels to ensure that the younger generation is protected from substance abuse. He added that programs such as the Namo Yuva Run strengthen awareness and build a sense of responsibility among citizens, particularly the youth.

BJP State President and MP Rajib Bhattacharjee highlighted that the youth are the backbone of the nation, and their active participation in such initiatives reflects their determination to create a better future. He also stressed that the Seva Pakhwada initiative is an opportunity to pay tribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of service, fitness, and social reform.

Participants of the Namo Yuva Run took pledges for a drug-free Tripura, committing themselves to fight against addiction and spread awareness within their communities. The program in Agartala also saw cultural performances and motivational speeches that reinforced the message of a drug-free society.

The Seva Pakhwada initiative, celebrated nationwide, is a platform for service-oriented programs that involve citizens in health camps, awareness campaigns, cleanliness drives, and fitness-related activities. Through the Namo Yuva Run, BJYM has sought to inspire youth to lead the way in promoting physical fitness, discipline, and social responsibility.

The event in Tripura concluded with a strong message that the state stands united in the fight against drugs. With overwhelming participation and support from the youth, the initiative is expected to have a long-term impact in encouraging healthier choices and empowering the younger generation to be leaders of change.
