The first incident was reported on Tuesday morning at Monpui village under the Jampui Hill block. According to local sources, unidentified miscreants vandalized the signboard of the Mizo Convention.

Paragliding Site Entry Gate Targeted in Tlaxi
Later the same night, another incident of vandalism came to light in Tlaxi. Unknown persons smashed the entry gate signboard of the paragliding site, a key tourism attraction in the region.
Locals expressed concern that repeated attacks on tourist infrastructure could harm the area’s image and affect livelihoods dependent on tourism. The destruction has also raised questions about nighttime security arrangements.
Locals Express Anger Over Law and Order Situation
The back-to-back incidents have sparked widespread anger across the hill region. Community members openly criticized the Vanghmun police station, questioning its effectiveness in preventing such acts.
Residents said the absence of visible policing has emboldened miscreants. Many fear that if the situation continues unchecked, it could lead to more serious crimes in the future.
