Tripura to hold Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra on October 7; minister reviews preparations

Tripura will hold the Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra across all eight districts on October 7. The programme will take place as part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury has reviewed preparations for the statewide event.

The programme will focus on public service, unity and participation. Organisers are also preparing processions, cycle rallies and motorcycle rallies across the state.

Minister Reviews Preparations

Sushanta Chowdhury reviewed the arrangements at a meeting in Agartala. Senior officials, party leaders and representatives from different departments attended the meeting.

Officials discussed the programme schedule, coordination and participation. The minister stressed the need for proper planning so that events across the eight districts run smoothly.

District Magistrates from all eight districts also joined discussions during the preparation process. They shared details about arrangements in their respective districts.

Yatra to Cover All Eight Districts

The Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra will take place across Tripura on October 7. Each district will organise activities around the Seva Jyoti.

The programme will include processions carrying the ceremonial Seva Jyoti. Organisers will also hold cycle and motorcycle rallies at different locations.

The events will conclude before 11 am. Following the conclusion of the programmes, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address will be broadcast live.

Chief Minister Manik Saha is scheduled to attend the programme in Agartala.

Focus on Public Service

The Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra forms part of the wider Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. The campaign aims to highlight the importance of public service and welfare-oriented activities.

Chowdhury said the programme would carry the message of service to different sections of society. He also called for cooperation from organisers and participants.

The minister stressed that coordinated efforts would help the programme reach more people across the state.

Youth Participation Gets Attention

Organisers have also placed emphasis on the participation of young people. College students and other members of the youth community have been encouraged to join the programmes.

MLA Abhishek Debroy also stressed the importance of greater youth participation during discussions on the event.

The involvement of young people is expected to add to participation in the rallies and other activities planned across the districts.

Programme Marks 25 Years of Public Service

The October 7 programme forms part of a nationwide campaign marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service.

October 7 marks 25 years since Modi first took office as the Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2001. The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan began on September 17 and will continue until October 17.

Tripura’s programme will therefore form part of the wider activities taking place during the campaign.

Seva Jyoti to Highlight Unity

The ceremonial Seva Jyoti will remain at the centre of the programme. Processions carrying the flame will move through different locations before reaching designated venues.

The organisers see the yatra as an opportunity to highlight service and unity. They have also urged people and officials to cooperate with the arrangements.

The rallies and public programmes will give participants an opportunity to take part in the statewide campaign.

Tripura Prepares for October 7 Event

With preparations underway across all eight districts, officials are working to ensure smooth coordination. The government and organisers have reviewed arrangements for the rallies, processions and public participation.

The Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra will begin the day’s activities before the scheduled live broadcast of the Prime Minister’s address.

The statewide programme is expected to bring together party workers, young people and members of the public as Tripura observes the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan on October 7.
