Tripura Witnesses Surge in Investor Enthusiasm for Education and Health Ventures

In a significant development, investors, both local and from outside the state, are increasingly expressing interest in the education and health sectors of Tripura. Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha shared this optimistic news during the inauguration of the National Dentist Day celebration and the 22nd Annual Dental Conference at Prajna Bhavan in Agartala on Sunday.

The event, organized by the National Oral Health Programme, National Health Mission Tripura, and the Indian Dental Association, provided a platform for the Chief Minister to highlight the positive trajectory of educational and healthcare investments in the state.

Dr. Saha, while inaugurating the Agartala Government Dental College, emphasized its significance as a milestone in higher education, comparable to dental colleges in other states. He urged everyone to treat the institution’s infrastructure and equipment with a sense of ownership and responsibility.

Expressing his hope for the dental college to evolve into a center of excellence through collaborative efforts, Dr. Saha disclosed the state government’s plan to establish a medical hub. He noted that external organizations were keen on establishing educational and health institutions in Tripura, contributing to the state’s overall development.

The Chief Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to advancing medical services through initiatives like the Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana, allocating a budget of Rs 59 crore annually. Additionally, funds have been earmarked for constructing 100 sub-health centers, and a Cardiac Care Unit has been inaugurated at Dhalai District Hospital to provide advanced healthcare services.

During the event, eminent dentist Rana Balbir Jung was felicitated, and the Chief Minister declared the day as a tribute to those who have contributed to ensuring the rights and self-respect of dentists in the state.
