Adventure rider and motorcycling enthusiast Koushik Das from Tripura has been officially recognized by the India Book of Records for his remarkable achievement of successfully riding to Tergola Pass, the highest motorable road in Bhutan, from Agartala on a Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 motorcycle.
The expedition covered thousands of kilometers across challenging Himalayan terrain, extreme weather conditions, steep mountain roads, and high-altitude passes. The journey showcased not only endurance and determination but also promoted adventure tourism and long-distance motorcycling from Northeast India.
Koushik Das completed the ride as part of an ambitious solo endurance expedition traversing through Assam, West Bengal, and Bhutan before reaching the iconic Tergola Pass, known for its harsh conditions and breathtaking elevation. The achievement has now earned him recognition from the India Book of Records.
