TTAADC Unveils First-Ever Theme-Based Musical Fountain at Khumulwng Eco Park

Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) inaugurated the first-ever theme-based musical water fountain at Eco-Park, Khumulwng. The grand inauguration ceremony was graced by Bubagra Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma, Hon’ble Chairman of the AARC, TTAADC, along with several dignitaries and officials.

The event witnessed the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Chief Executive Member (CEM) Shri Purna Chandra Jamatia, Hon’ble Minister Shri Brishaketu Debbarma, and Executive Members (EMs)Shri Kamal Kalai, Shri Runiel Debbarma, Shri Bhaba Ranjan Reang, Shri Suhel Debbarma, Shri Ananta Debbarma, and Shri Rabindra Debbarma. The ceremony was also attended by Hon’ble MLAs Shri Biswajit Kalai, Shri Manav Debbarma, and Smt. Swapna Debbarma, along with Hon’ble MDCs Shri Sadagar Kalai, Shri Debajit Tripura, Shri Umashankar Debbarma, and Shri Raval Hamendra Kumar, IAS, CEO, TTAADC.

The newly inaugurated fountain is designed to be more than just a visual attraction — it’s a symbolic representation of the cultural pride, unity, and identity of the indigenous communities. Set against the scenic backdrop of Eco Park, the musical fountain combines light, sound, and synchronized water movements that narrate the stories of Tripura’s tribal heritage and natural beauty.

Speaking at the inauguration, Bubagra Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma emphasized that such initiatives are essential to revitalize cultural spaces and boost eco-tourism in the region. He noted that Khumulwng is steadily transforming into a hub of cultural and recreational development under the leadership of the TTAADC.

CEM Purna Chandra Jamatia also highlighted that the project reflects TTAADC’s vision of integrating cultural preservation with sustainable tourism development. He expressed confidence that the new attraction would draw both local visitors and tourists from across the state and beyond, contributing to the local economy and increasing awareness of Tripura’s rich tribal heritage.

The Eco Park at Khumulwng, already known for its natural serenity and lush greenery, is expected to gain further prominence with the addition of the musical fountain. The attraction aims to inspire pride among the local populace while offering a unique experience to visitors interested in culture, art, and nature.

The event concluded with cultural performances and light shows, marking a new chapter in TTAADC’s efforts to enhance tourism infrastructure and preserve the artistic legacy of the region.
