According to the leaders, the Mizoram Peace Accord signed on June 30, 1986, ended years of insurgency and laid the foundation for lasting peace, stability, and development across the state.

Highlighting the state’s achievements over the past four decades, Lalduhoma said Mizoram has achieved full literacy and emerged as one of the best-performing states in Northeast India in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Lalduhoma also highlighted several major infrastructure initiatives that are expected to strengthen connectivity and support economic growth.

These include the extension of railway connectivity to Sairang, with a proposed expansion to Thenzawl, the construction of the Vairengte–Sairang four-lane National Highway, and several National Highway development projects across the state.

Furthermore, he expressed confidence that these projects would accelerate Mizoram’s development while creating new opportunities for its people.
