Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Friday said the Himalayan state is entering a new phase of development as it celebrated its 51st Statehood Day with cultural events, official programmes, and public participation across the state.
Addressing a Statehood Day function, the chief minister highlighted the achievements of Sikkim over the past five decades and said the government remains committed to building a stronger, more progressive, and inclusive future for the people.
He stated that the state has made remarkable progress in sectors such as education, healthcare, tourism, infrastructure, and environmental conservation since becoming the 22nd state of India in 1975.
