The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has cleared the recruitment of 45 new officers under Tripura Civil Service (TCS) Grade-II and Tripura Police Service (TPS) Grade-II, giving the state a significant push in administrative and policing capacity. The commission issued the approval on 1 December 2025 under Advertisement No. 04/2016. Moreover, the decision fills vacancies that remained pending for years.

TPSC Publishes Merit-Based Selection Lists
TPSC released the detailed merit lists and confirmed that it completed the selection process strictly on merit. Additionally, the commission followed category-wise vacancies and considered the preferences submitted by candidates. Therefore, officials believe the process reflects transparency and fairness.
30 Candidates Secure TCS Grade-II Posts
A total of 30 candidates secured positions in the TCS Grade-II group, and their performances highlight strong competition.
- Biprajit Biswas (Roll 10111) topped the list with 605.75 marks.
- Sartha Karmakar followed with 603 marks, showing a narrow margin.
- Ajit Mitra, with 589.33 marks, secured the third position.
Furthermore, the list includes candidates from UR, SC, and ST categories. Some candidates filled unreserved seats as per the rules. Consequently, the final list reflects balanced representation.
15 Candidates Earn Positions in TPS Grade-II
In the Tripura Police Service category, 15 candidates earned recommendations for appointment.
- Debapratim Nag (Roll 03729) secured the highest score with 554.5 marks.
- Anjan Debnath trailed closely with 553.75 marks.
- Surajit Shyam, who scored 582 marks, also ranked among the top performers.
Meanwhile, candidates from UR, SC, and ST groups appear in the list, ensuring diversity. Thus, the recruitment strengthens both inclusivity and representation in the police service.
Final Verification Before Joining
TPSC announced that candidates must now undergo final document and certificate verification by their respective departments. Once this step is completed, the government will issue formal appointment letters and joining orders. This ensures that every selected candidate meets all eligibility conditions. Additionally, the verification process prevents discrepancies during the appointment phase.
New Officers Expected to Strengthen Governance
Tripura will soon gain 30 new civil service officers and 15 new police service officers, which will significantly improve administrative efficiency and policing strength.
