Assam Adopts Online Attendance for HS Examinations

In a move towards enhanced transparency and technological integration, the state education department in Assam has opted for online attendance registration for students appearing in the Higher Secondary (HS) examinations 2024. The initiative, set to begin on Monday afternoon (February 12), aims to streamline the examination process.

HS Examinations 2024 Details

The Higher Secondary examinations conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) are scheduled to commence on Monday and conclude on March 13, 2024. A total of 2,80,216 candidates across Assam are expected to participate in the examinations, with 1,39,486 being male candidates and 1,42,732 being female candidates.

The 12th board exams will be conducted in two shifts, with the first shift scheduled from 9 am to 12 noon, and the second shift from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. This arrangement is made to accommodate the large number of candidates and ensure a smooth examination process.

Education Minister Ranoj Pegu emphasized the importance of discipline and sincerity in executing responsibilities related to the examinations. In a statement, he directed all government officers and teachers to carry out their duties with utmost dedication. Pegu also urged parents, guardians, and citizens to extend their cooperation to ensure the seamless conduct of the examinations.
