Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat, has received the State NSS Award 2024–25 in the Best University category, earning recognition for its contribution to community service, social welfare and nation-building activities through the National Service Scheme (NSS).
Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Biswajit Daimari presented the award at the Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Complex in Guwahati on September 3 during the State Sports Day celebrations.
Dr. Binoy Kumar Medhi, Director of Students’ Welfare-cum-NSS Programme Coordinator at Assam Agricultural University, received the prestigious award on behalf of the university.
