Guwahati : Assam Police’s wrist-wrestling team has brought immense pride to the state and the nation by winning a total of eight medals ,five gold and three silver at the World Police and Fire Games 2025 held in Birmingham, USA. 

The achievement was widely celebrated across Assam Police circles, with senior officials praising the athletes for their dedication and performance on the global stage.

Assam’s Director General of Police, Harmeet Singh, IPS, took to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday evening to personally appreciate the medal-winning team. He wrote:

LNK Kandarapa Borah: Won 2 gold medals

LNK Amlanjit Borthakur: Won 1 gold and 1 silver medal

W/LNK Junmoni Das: Won 1 gold and 1 silver medal

W/LNK Lovita Koch: Won 1 gold and 1 silver medal
