GUWAHATI: Psychologist, trainer, spiritual therapist and visiting faculty at Amity university Ms Liza Hazarika on Tuesday said that right parenting can unlock child’s full potential.
Ms Hazarika was speaking in a councilling programme which was held at Modern Academy Senior Secondary School located at Rupai Siding in Tinsukia district of upper Assam.
Prabhat Bikomiya Deori , the principal of the school, Amulya Barman , the headmaster , Munmun Deori , former IAS Officer Jogendranath Barua ,including hundreds of parents of the school took part in the programme.
Talking to Borok Times Ms Hazarika said, ” An state wide awareness on parenting especially in rural areas is the need of time .”
” positive thinking, keeping self mentally and physically healthy and a balanced behavior towards children are necessary for parents. ” said Hazarika.
” We must not hurt the sentiments of children and insult them before others .In place of that personally we should talk to the children and suggest them lovingly what is best for them. ” Hazarika added .
On the other hand Prabhat Bikomiya Deori , the Principal of the school said , ” Parents play one of the most important role in shaping the future of children. ”
She also said the children are more talented at present era of Mobile phones, computer and Artificial Intelligence.
She spoke in details about right way of parenting.
