Scheduled for February 24, 2025, at the Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati, the mega Jhumur dance event, titled “Jhumair Binandiya,” aims to set a world record with the participation of 8,000 artists from Assam’s tea garden communities. Jhumur, a traditional folk dance characterized by its vibrant costumes, expressive gestures, and rhythmic movements, holds a special place in the cultural tapestry of Assam. This performance seeks to introduce the Jhumur dance to a global audience, celebrating its significance and the rich traditions of the tea tribes.

Economic Ambitions: Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit
Following the cultural festivities, the state will host the “Advantage Assam 2.0 – Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025” on February 25-26 at the Veterinary Field in Khanapara, Guwahati.
