Bagicha workers (Tea workers) appeared at the door of the agriculture minister today demanding regularization. Agriculture Minister Pranjit Singh Roy has assured to discuss their demands in the Cabinet meeting.
According to them, 175 garden workers have been employed as irregular workers for a long time. But, till now the government is not taking any initiative to regularize them. They are facing financial loss due to not getting proper wages for their work and it is not possible to solve various problems. Even though they have been demanding regularization for a long time, their demands are not being fulfilled. On this day, they requested Agriculture Minister Pranjit Singh Roy to take regularization initiative.
The agriculture minister has heard their demands and assured to discuss the matter in the Cabinet meeting.
