The Central Armed Police Forces have started making their appearances in three poll-bound states Tripura, Meghalaya, and Nagaland. As the elections are approaching, the Election Commission of India has confirmed the arrival of 30 companies of central forces. They will be assisting the election.
On the other hand, Meghalaya is seeking 119 companies of CAPF for the polls. Nagaland is also not behind in having CAPF. They also have a large number of CAPFs. Gitte Kirankumar Dinkarrao, Tripura’s chief electoral officer, said that about 50 companies of CAPF have come to the state, and the other 50 are remaining to come. They will also come soon prior to the election.
Rajiv Kumar the head of the Election Commission, will go on a four-day visit to the Northeaster states. The scheduled date is January 11. Other officials will also arrive in Tripura. And a meeting will be held regarding the election.
